Our Analysis & Ratings

Blackdeer's 4-person teepee is a cute choice for anyone who's looking for that real teepee vibe. It's affordable and easy to set up, and it's four-pole design means you don't have the annoying centre pole you do in most teepees. However, it's lacking durability and we can't see how you could comfortably fit four people into it - it's a snug two-person for us.

Comfort - We appreciated the lack of a central pole, but found the tent to be small, with the pyramid shape meaning the dead centre was really the only place it was comfortable to set up. We weren't able to test in rainy conditions so can't vouch for its waterproofing, but with the weight of the fabric do have concerns that we'd get a little wet.

Construction - The ease of setup is a plus for convenient use, with 4 poles that easily slide into the tent sleeves and aluminum pins directly pinned at each corner. The zippers were very lightweight and over time we think they would slide off - in general this is a basically-constructed model.

Features - The teepee tent has good ventilation up top with a mesh shelf that we found handy to stash a lantern on for light. The waterproof flooring curves up the sides to curb moisture from the ground, which kept our mattress dry. Other than that, this teepee tent is pretty light on features.

Size/ Weight - With a weight of 5.37kg, it is manageable to carry. But the long poles that don't fold down mean you need more room for transportation.

Versatility - The instant setup and convenience of use make this teepee a good choice for casual camping, festivals and backyard gatherings. We don't see it standing up as accommodation suitable for longer than a couple of days.

Overall - Easy to set up and avoids the problem of a central pole, but tiny and relatively flimsy.
