If you’re after a compact camping chair, the Quechua Folding Low Camping Chair might suit you. As the name suggests, it’s quite low, but it’s light enough to carry in luggage on a plane. It’s a practical, convenient and small chair that’s easy to take around.
Comfort - This camping chair is comfortable to sit on and easy to use, although, due to its size, it only takes a load of 110kg. It’s also quite low to the floor, so people with long legs can struggle to get back up. The seat height is only 25cm, which is very low, but that’s what’s advertised.
Construction - Made of aluminium and polyamide tubes and a polyester and polyamide seat. The seams aren’t the strongest and can develop cracks. When putting it together, hooking the last tab can be a bit difficult, but other than that, the chair is easy to assemble. Packing it up takes about 10 seconds, but how the rods fold could be better designed. The feet are rubber, which have the possibility of breaking off.
Features - Has a storage bag that the chair condenses down into. It doesn’t have any innovative features, like a drink holder, although it does have an elastic pocket on the side, but more would be nice for camping.
Size/Weight - The chair is quite light at 1kg and it takes up little space as it packs up no bigger than a 1.5L water bottle at 8x12x38cm.
Versatility - The Quechua Folding Low Camping Chair is quick to assemble — once you learn how the first time — and pack away. Its thin legs can sink into soft soil, so make sure you find a firm spot to place it before sitting. It’s good for camping or taking with you when cycling or hiking.
Overall - A great chair to have in your car, or to out camping or to the beach, the Quechua Folding Low Camping Chair is a great value chair.
