Our Analysis & Ratings

If there’s one tent that we think resembles the perfect design for pure hiking, it is the Nemo Dragonfly. Its quality features make it even more interesting considering its featherweight and large vestibules. A few materials aren't top of the line, and the tapered design affects the space, but these minor things leave no room for portability.

Comfort - It is quite long but narrow, and tapered at the foot, which is a bit bothersome because it lessens the space.

Construction - Upon using it, there was no major problem with structure. This tent has both weight and features meet in the middle. Using lower denier fabrics and lightweight aluminium poles suggest a lighter weight but a lower strength. It has a fair amount of its features that can still hold up to the elements.

Features - The Nemo Dragonfly has large vestibules and 5 generous internal pockets, which are all excellent features that make a liveable space for long hiking trips. This tent sets up easily with 2 poles.

Size/Weight - You can easily carry this lightweight tent at only 1.4kg with a packed size of 50x12cm.

Versatility - We recommend this tent for hiking and longer trips that are particular on weight. The tapered design diminishes the space and can be uncomfortable for camping.

Overall - An excellent choice for pure hiking and long trips.
